During my seminar trips around the world, many karate
students ask me to teach advanced techniques. Before I
teache them / you, I would like to emphasize the importance of
physical conditioning. Before techniques can be successfully
learned and applied, students must be in shape and have proper body
mechanics in order to enable appropriate execution. If students are
not physically fit, they are prone to developing bad habits, which
may take a long time to relinquish.
